If you had a time machine and could send just one message to your past self, what would it say?

What I’d Tell My Past Self
If I could send just one message to my past self, I’d say:
“You don’t have to be good to everyone, all the time.”
Being a good person doesn’t mean you always have to put yourself last. Sometimes, when you’re always there for people, they start seeing your kindness as something they can simply use.
You can be like a candle—giving your light to make someone else’s life brighter while quietly burning yourself out. And sometimes, when the candle is gone, people simply look for another source of light.
So I’d tell my younger self: help people, be kind, but don’t forget yourself in the process. You don’t have to carry everyone else’s problems while ignoring your own.
And most importantly, enjoy the moments you have. Time flies, and you don’t get the same moment twice. Make yourself happy too, not only everyone around you.
Take the trip. Laugh more. Do the things you’ve been putting off. And take more pictures.
One day, you’ll miss the version of life you’re living right now.
